(Acrylic on Ampersand GessoBord)

I absolutely love colors and I miss them in contemporary 'minimalist' design. I happened to see a photo on Instagram with a painting in the background (I couldn't track down the original or its digital creator) which used these primary colors on triangles, keeping symmetry about isometric axes and it blew my mind. With the very next blink, I saw a head with two giant ears, and immediately knew there was a Lord Ganesha waiting to be revealed.

After I had the blueprint ready (I used Expression Design), I only spent about 30% of the time actually painting. The rest of the time was spent with masking tape. But the effect was worth the effort - clean professional-looking lines that didn't betray the geometry.

It's looking good up on my wall now :)
